San Francisco Beer Week: It's the most wonderful time of the year. Seriously. I know people who diet and exercise all year just so that they can fully partake in the magic that is SF Beer Week.
Speaking of magic...
There are so many events and so many beers that you couldn't possibly try them all. How do you choose?
We suggest going by the magical properties suggested by their floral ingredients in accordance with the language of flowers.
A bit a about the language of flowers: it was a real thing that had its heyday in the late 1700s. People would gift each other bouquets as coded messages.
Victorian society was pretty sexually repressive, so a lot of the flower messages have to do with getting some action. Peach colored roses, for instance, were an invitation to meet up in secret. Adding the flower Frilled Panties (what a name!) into that bouquet was a clear way of saying you were looking for a risque rendezvous.
What if every kind of beer you bought for someone sent a message about your intentions?
Here is a list of our Top 5 SF BEER WEEK beers to send a message...
